Xiaomi Mi 6

Xiaomi Mi 6 has been rumors since the past few weeks. Early rumors have hinted that the MI 6 release date would be set in February 2017. However, newer information state that it would release earlier in April 2017 to rival Galaxy S8.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Release Date Rumors

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to come loaded with the next generation Snapdragon 835 chipset. The Samsung Galaxy S8 was expected to launch in February, but fresh reports indicate that its release date has been pushed to April 2017. If Xiaomi Mi 6 arrives in February, it is likely to be the first Chinese smartphone to run Snapdragon 835 chipset.

A leaked poster has been shared on Weibo that features a Mi logo along with number 6. The image also states the Xiaomi Mi 6 launch date is Feb. 14.

The poster does not directly state that Mi 6 will be unveiled in February, but it clearly hints about Xiaomi Mi 6's arrival. The image appears to be fake. Rumors have it that the image may have come from a KJuma, a well-known leakster and it should be noted that the recent predictions have not always come true, GizmoChina reported.

Xiaomi Mi 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S8

The upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 is heavily pegged to be equipped with the latest and most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Samsung is manufacturing SD 835 chipset. However, speculations have it that the South Korean will not be able to manufacture large number of SD 835 chipsets for various flagships by first quarter of 2017.

Fresh information suggest since the Snapdragon 835 chipsets will be ready by April, the Xiaomi Mi 6 would probably launch in the same month, AndroidPure reported. It is expected to rival the Galaxy S8 that is also pegged to get unveiled in the same month.

Xiaomi is rumored to come up with other models for Xiaomi Mi 6 namely Mi 6s,6s Plus, Mi 6E and Mi 6P. It is said that these models will run on different chipsets and one of them (probably Xiaomi Mi 6s Plus) is expected to come with dual-edge curved display. As of this writing, Xiaomi is silent, and no information about the launch of Mi 6 has been disclosed.
