Xiaomi will be officially announcing new device Mi Notebook Pro on Friday The Chinese company has already sent out media invites earlier this week. The device is rumored to come with advanced specs.
Earlier, it was rumored to roll out as Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G, but recent leaks have revealed that the the device will launch as Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro. It is confirmed to come with 4G connectivity.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro Specifications and Features
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is speculated to arrive in two variants of 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch display like Mi Notebook Air. Both the variants are expected to support 4K resolution.The device is rumored to come with i7-6700HQ processor with GTX 960M graphics. The chipset was mainly manufactured to power notebook purpose a year ago.
Mi Notebook Pro will come packed with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB internal storage. The device is said to come with 4G connectivity for internet access without Wi-Fi. Currently, the device is China Mobile-exclusive as it features its logo, but later it may support other network providers.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro Design
The device is said to retain the same design as that of Mi Notebook Air. It will come with thin body and is said to be lightweight. It will include a SIM tray, a feature that is unavailable Mi Noetbook Air, BGR reported.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro Price, Launch Date
Xiaomi's new device will be releasing this Friday. The Mi Notebook Pro is likely to cost at Yuan 6,000 ($864), Gizmo China reported. The price is said to be costlier than the currently available Mi Notebook Air which begins at $520.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air was announced in August this year in China. The device comes in two variants display of 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch. The smaller variant is powered by Intel Core M3 processor. It is packed with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
The variant with 13.3-inch screen comes powered by Intel Core i5 processor with NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphic. It features are 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD and Windows 10 OS.
