Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 vs Meizu M5 Note: Powerful Redmi Note 4X arriving to rival M5 Note

Xiaomi is speculated to be working on Redmi Note 4X, a better version of the already released Redmi Note 4. The new variant is expected to take on the Meizu M5 Note.

According to a leakster from China, the Chinese tech company is allegedly working on a new model of Redmi Note 4 that is called Redmi Note 4X. The rumors of the alleged phone have surfaced after Xiaomi announced new color versions of Redmi Note 4.

The currently available Redmi Note 4 models are powered by MediaTek Helio X20 chipset, but the newer variant is expected to be powered by Snapdragon chipset. The leakster has revealed that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will feature Snapdragon 653 chipset under its hood. It will be coupled with features like 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, Tech Update reported.

The 16 GB Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features 2 GB RAM and it carries a pricing of 899 Yuan ($129). The 64 GB Redmi Note 4 with 3 GB RAM is selling for 1,199 Yuan ($172).

Why is Xiaomi going to release the alleged Redmi Note 4X? It is expected to arrive as a rival device for the highest configuration variant of Meizu M5 Note.

The M5 Note that is powered by Helio P10 chipset has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB native storage. It carries a costlier price tag 1,499 Yuan ($215). Rumors suggest have it the Redmi Note 4X may launch with a similar pricing.

The Chinese leakster did not reveal any details on the other specs of Redmi Note 4. However, it is speculated that it will feature similar specs as Note 4.

Hence, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is likely to arrive with specs like 5.5-inch full HD screen, 13-megapixel rear-facing shooter, 5-megapixel frontal snapper, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS coupled with MIUI 8.0 and 4,100 mAh battery.

There is a USB Type-C port available on the Meizu M5 Note. It is not known whether the Redmi Note 4X will also feature a USB Type-C port, Gizmo China reported.
