Devil May Cry is a video game series developed by Capcom and created by Hideki Kamiya. The series has three games and a reboot developed by Ninja Theory.

New details for "Devil May Cry 5" feature the new game in the works within 2017 and will it be a next sequel to the original game or "DmC: Devil May Cry 2".

Game director Hideaki Itsuno tweeted that he will be working on a new video game title this year. While it remains to be seen what Itsuno's new video game project will be, but there is strong evidence in favor of it being a sequel to one of his previous games.

Itsuno is known to produced several of Capcom video game titles such as "Dragons Dogma", "Rival Schools", "Power Stones" and the original "Devil May Cry" game franchise.

It was teased several months back that Capcom could be showcasing "Devil May Cry 5" during the 2016 Electronic Entertainemt Expo event, but Capcom announced "Dead Rising 4" and "Resident Evil 7" instead.

Another possible claim of "Devil May Cry 5's" development is that "DMC" voice actor Johnny Young Bosh first teased the possibility of "Devil May Cry 5" when he posted a photo of him and fellow voice actor Ruben Langdon wearing headsets and motion capture suites.

While the possibility of "Devil May Cry 5" could likely happen, there is still a chance that it could be the sequel Ninja Theory's remake of the game "DmC: Devil May Cry".

The problem however, is that "DmC: Devil May Cry" did not make any positive feedback on sales, thus it would make sense for Capcom to put Itsuno back at the helm of the next game in the series.

tsuno being more actively involved with the game’s development could ease fans’ concerns, plus a voice actor already outed the existence of "Devil May Cry 5". Since Itsuno served as the director for all but two games in the series, it stands to reason that he will direct the probable fifth game, Gamerant reported.

Lastly, Capcom revealed a possible list of games for 2017's development which include "Monster Hunter", "Street Fighter", "Resident Evil" and many more. The other games section could possibly include "Devil May Cry", so gaming fans should be look out for that in the coming months of 2017, TweakTown reported.

Capcom release the first "Devil May Cry" game for the PlayStation 2 originally as a "Resident Evil" game, but it became a franchise on its own. It features the story haft-human, haft-demon Dante, who works as an independent demon slayer, who happens to be the son of the legendary demon warrior Sparda. The game spawn several sequels "Devil May Cry 2", "Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening" and "Devil May Cry 4", along with a reboot "DmC: Devil May Cry" developed by Ninja Theory.

Gaming fans will likely wait for more updates on "Devil May Cry 5" soon.
