"OMORI's" main protagonist wakes up from a horrifying nightmare.

The surreal psychological horror game "OMORI" gets a new update from the developers with a new trailer. The backer rewards are now scheduled in February.

According to the official Kickstarter page of the video game, it has already been almost two years since the last footage of the video game, and three years since it got a successful start on the funding website. It was originally scheduled in 2015, but it was delayed further. In 2016, Omo Cat, the game developers, did not give any release date for the video game, until now.

The developers released an update post recently acknowledging the fact that they underestimated the amount of time it took to make a video game. They confessed that the original deadline that they announced was a naïve decision on their part. This created a lot of stress and pressure for them when they got near the first deadline.

The delay was explained by the developers, which is due to the development of the game's engine called the RPGMaker XV Ace. Before they switched to that engine, they encountered a lot of mugs that they had to tackle. After they got the new game engine, they also got more bugs, which pushed back the game's release.

The game developers had to change the game's core system multiple times after the switch of the game engine. It was done to solve the performance issues and to make it compatible with the newest version of the RPG Maker engine.

The address change feature for the Backer Rewards have been enabled, and the Backer Rewards are now scheduled to be sent out in February, according to another post on the official Kickstarter page of the video game. The game developer confessed that he overlooked the Kickstarter option, which lets backers change their addresses when needed. They were changing the addresses manually for a few years now, which gave them some issues with their backers.

The developers clarified that the function will only change the addresses. For those who want to change the style or size of their T-Shirt and Crewneck, they will have to message them on Kickstarter.
