Dong Young Bae or more known by his stage name Taeyang, the main vocalist of YG Entertainment's boy band BIGBANG is the world's second most handsome face in 2016, according to the list released by TC Candler in December. He almost made it to the top of the list which has Dutch musician and actor Michiel Huisman as the winner.

Taeyang beat other Korean handsome faces who made it to the list. Lee Donghae of SM Entertainment's Super Junior lands at 99, singer U-Kwon is at number 90, JYJ member Jaejoong is at number 73, actor Lee Min Ho is at 65 and singer and songwriter V is at 60. The main rapper of boy group 2pm, Taecyeon ranks number 52 while Super Junior member Siwon is at number 12. Taeyang's bandmate, rapper and actor T.O.P. is at number 16.

BIGBANG's 28-year-old main vocalist drastically moved up in the list. He was number 61 in 2014 and number 24 in 2015.

Followers of the world's second most handsome face in 2016 recently came to his rescue when Russian singer Albina allegedly copied one of his songs. The latter uploaded to her YouTube channel on Dec. 28, 2016 a new music video titled "I Love you."

Albina's "I Love You" has a striking resemblance of "Eyes, Nose, Lips" from Taeyang's 2014 album "Rise." The video on her channel which has more 2,000 subscribers raked over 10,000 dislikes and has disabled comments.

Albina claimed in a video interview that she created the music and lyrics of the song but netizens are not convinced. Other fans expressed their disappointment on Twitter.

YG already claimed copyright on YouTube which blocked Albina's music video, according to Soompi. However, the Russian singer uploaded the video on the Russian video streaming service Rutube where viewers continue to complain against the alleged plagiarism.

BIGBANG is one of the world's most popular South Korean boy bands who have proven their excellence several times. Their last 10-month long concert tour "MADE" in 2015 and 2016 drew 1.5 million fans, YG Life reported.
