A future update in "Overwatch" is being tested in the PTR. This update aims to nerf several characters while buffing Sombra and fixing some of the issues found in the new Oasis map.
According to Game Rant, 2017 will bring about even more updates and new content for the popular FPS game. However, before they are released for the general player base, the changes are tested in the Public Testing Region (PTR).
Right now, the update being tested in the PTR includes the key changes that will affect how various heroes function in the game. According to Blizzard's official "Overwatch" website, Ana will receive a nerf, as her biotic grenade's healing boot will be decreased by 50 percent. The reason behind the nerf is due to the fact that the ability proved to be too efficient.
D.va has received some nerfs as well, primarily with her armor being dropped by 50 percent as well, from 400 to 200. Additionally, the damage of her bullets are dropped from 3 to 2, but to compensate for the nerfs, her health and number of bullets per second are both increased with the update.
Another character receiving a nerf is Roadhog, with hook now unable to catch enemies through walls. However, Sombra will receive a buff this update, with her hacking skill allowing her to hack enemies in 0.8 seconds instead of the full second it used to take.
Aside from character balancing, there are also some general updates implemented in the new update. According to VG 24/7, the Emote Wheel has been changed, allowing players to equip four emotes, sprays, and voice lines from within the hero gallery.
Additionally, the voice line and emote submenus can now be accessed with the use of the left and right mouse buttons from within the Communication Wheel. Lastly, the players can also bind specific sprays, emotes, and voice lines to unique keys or mouse buttons.
"Overwatch" is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here is a video for the Oasis map preview.
