"Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+" received a new patch after its release recently. One part of the patch notes remained vague despite the recent tweets of the developer.
According to the official website of Steam, fans of the video game got a treat when the game developer released the Afterbirth+ expansion. After less than half a week, the latest update got its first patch to fix up several bugs that plagued it for a while. The patch fixed some of the usual programming bugs that show up with the fresh releases.
The new patch focused more on cleanup one of the features of the new expansion, which was the new mod support for the video game. Players wanted to have this feature implemented for a long time now so that they can tweak or overhaul it for their convenience. With the new patch, it now supports joystick inputs, adjusting player stats, and recording changes easier with HTML documentation
There is one part of the patch notes that was not clearly explained by game developer Edmun McMillen. This line said that there were various adjustments made for balance and fairness and had a heart put next to it.
McMillen tweeted some information about the changes, but it did not give more details about it. He also revealed that this will not be the last of the timely updates and there will be more to come. He encourages the fans to report issues if they find some.
The video game is a really complex one to create and it will not surprise anyone that anything new added to it will cause some issues after its implementation. Afterbirth+ still follows McMillen's style for releasing densely packed content for his creation. With continued patch support and encouragement for players to report bugs, it will certainly become smoother as time progresses.
McMillen wrote on the official website of "The Bind of Isaac" that Afterbirth+ is an expansion of the video game. It adds new items, enemies, unlockables, achievements, endings, and a new playable character to try out. The new expansion will be coming to the consoles in spring this year.
