Fans of the "Resident Evil 7" game in the United States have a pleasant treat waiting for them, specifically the ones that pre-order the game. After all, one of the pre-order bonuses includes a digital copy of "Resident Evil: Retribution" starring Milla Jovovich.
With "Resident Evil 7" to launch a little more than a couple of weeks away, Capcom is expected to step up its marketing campaign to ensure a strong start, according to Game Rant. As such, it is revealed that fans will receive a free copy of the 2012 film "Resident Evil: Retribution" if they pre-order using the Xbox Store or Game Stop.
Additionally, the fans will also receive the game's Survival Pack bonus, which will give four load-outs such as the Recovery Set, Handgun Set, Burner Set, and Chem Fluid Set. Each of these contain different kinds of items like green healing herbs and ammunition, according to Capcom.
Those who pre-ordered the game before the announcement will not miss out on this deal. It should be worth noting though, that the PlayStation Network pre-orders for the "Resident Evil 7" offers a different deal. Instead of getting a free copy of "Retribution," they will get a 40 percent off coupon for the five HD versions of the previous "Resident Evil" movies bundled together.
Regardless, when preordering the game using GameStop for both PS4 and Xbox One versions, fans will receive a redemption code on their receipt once they pick up the game. However, obtaining the movie will be different, as the former can redeem it through VUDU while the latter can get it through the Xbox Store.
It could be possible that the game's promotional offers are attached to the "Resident Evil 7" game only, a means of drawing more players to buy the game. However, it might also drive interest to the upcoming "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" and "Resident Evil: Vendetta."
"Resident Evil 7" will be released on Jan. 24 for the PC, PS4, PSVR, and Xbox One. Here is the most recent trailer for the game:
