The players who played the demo version of the upcoming survival-horror title "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" tried datamining the game's files. They found that there is a potential character returning in the new installment, thus increasing the hype for the game even more.
Fans have been searching the game in order to get a better idea of what to expect in the new installment of the survival-horror game. As such, the Beginning Hour demo has been datamined in order to reveal hidden secrets, according to Game Rant.
The miners found huge amounts of information that were pieced together, leading to the discovery of the potential return of Albert Wesker, one of the most prominent villains in the series. With the sheer amount of data to be explored, there is a rather large thread that contains all the details pertaining to the information found by dataminers.
However, there is one subsection that stands out from the rest, as it focuses on all of the mentions of the first name "Albert." One of the files from the "Resident Evil 7" demo contained "LastBossGetAlbert," which could point to the role played by the character in the campaign. There is a big chance for Wesker to once again assume the final big boss.
Furthermore, there are hints for an unlockable reward for defeating him, as implied by a file named "LastBossFinishGetGun." It could be possible that the name Albert can point to an entirely different character, as one file suggests that a new character named Eveline Albert will be included in the game.
There are a host of file names containing Albert in the title, such as HandGun_Albert_Reward, Shotgun_Albert, and AlbertGet, according to Euro Gamer. However, players should take note that the file names can be misleading.
Nevertheless, it is only a matter of time before the "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be released for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Jan. 24, 2017. Here is the trailer for the Beginning Hour Demo.
