Turkey Asks Microsoft To Take Out Violence In Minecraft Or They Will Have To Ban It Totally If Modifications Are Impossible

Is Minecraft totally banned in Turkey? Turkey has denied these allegations and media reports that the government is seeking to ban the Microsoft game but instead do some modifications to take out elements that are violent in nature, The Christian Science Monitor reported.

Turkey will be asking Microsoft to remove the particular elements that they find violent such as zombies, creepers and elements that are violent in nature from the game. This was the clarification they have made after Turkish media has reported that they are considering to ban the cube-based game.

In addition, according to IGN, the Turkish Family and Social Policy Ministry has expressed concerns about the blockbuster cube-game that it may cause social isolation for the gamers and may encourage internet bullying. Microsoft has purchased the Mojang developed game for $2.5 billion last year.  

The Turkish Family and Social Policy Ministry has also expressed their concern on the game because it is too violent, as reported by Hürriyet Daily News and Leader Gamer.

The Turkish agency had conducted their own study and test on the game and has forwarded a report to their legal affairs department instructing the said department to allegedly ban the game and how to implement it.

IGN was able to get a glimpse on the said report and it says that the game might be encouraging children to be creative through building communities, farms and bridges there are hostile creatures that needs to be killed to protect the structures that has been build. The report continued to claim that the basis of the game is violence that is why they are seeking to ban the game or let Microsoft take out the violence in order for it to be playable in Turkey.
