A leakster has revealed that March 29 is the unveil date for Samsung. It is expected to go on sale with a pricing of $849 in April.

Known leakster, @Ricciolo1 has revealed through his Twitter account that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be showcased at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017 tech trade show. However, he added that the device will not be shown to big public but only a select few will be able to see it.

This is the same strategy that BlackBerry adopted for unveiling its Mercury smartphone at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 that was held earlier this month. BlackBerry Mercury prototype was revealed by the Canadian company to media but was kept away from the eyes of general public, Phone Arena reported.

The leakster has stated that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is slated to get introduced on March 29. The smartphone would be made available for purchase in the 17th week of this year. The week 17 runs from April 24 to 30.

Previous rumors have stated that the smartphone would be available for purchase from April 18. Ricciolo1 has also revealed information on the pricing of Galaxy S8. It is expected to launch with a cost $849 and up.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has been revealed through plenty of leaked images that surfaced since December 2016. Rumors have it that Galaxy S8 with 5-inch display and Galaxy S8 Plus with 6-inch display will be unveiled together. Both the smartphones are pegged to feature dual-edge curved display.

Leaked images show that screen occupies major space on the Galaxy S8 as it does not feature a physical Home button. The fingerprint sensor seems to be embedded under the display. The device sports slimmer upper and lower bezels. Its chin features a large Samsung logo.

The Galaxy S8 models are expected to arrive without 3.5 audio jack. Both smartphones are rumored to be driven by Snapdragon 835 and 6 GB of RAM. The S8 is expected to feature a single camera whereas the S8 Plus is pegged to come with dual-camera setup. It is speculated to feature an auto-focus enabled front-facing camera.
