The upcoming "Resident Evil 7" game will have a season pass that offers a variety of advantages to those willing to shell out more money. One of these include getting three separated DLCs post-launch.
In the official Steam page for "Resident Evil 7," the season pass offers interesting stories that will be made available for each DLC released. Some of the content, such as "Ethan Must Die" and "21," are reminiscent of 80s horror movie titles. However, the last among the DLC packs covered by the season pass is still a mystery, simply titled "Additional Story Episode."
On its own, the "Resident Evil 7" season pass can be purchased on its own for 30 dollars, but it can be bundled with the base game for a total of 90 dollars. As for the standalone purchase for the DLC packs, the price are yet to be given, according to Engadget.
"Resident Evil 7" is a return to the core of one of Capcom's oldest, most popular franchises. While the game does not focus on zombies and virus outbreaks seen in its predecessors, its core still features a true Capcom-made "Resident Evil" game.
The new yet familiar horror feel of the game is generally attributed to its VR capabilities, offering players a more intimate gameplay experience. Despite this, the game sticks to the gameplay elements proven to be effective in keeping fans hooked in the previous titles of the series without losing its own identity in the process.
The "Resident Evil 7" game's main deviation from the previous games, however, will be the switch to a first-person perspective. Regardless, having an intention to dish out some good DLC packs will ensure that fans are going to be entertained months or even years after the launch of the game.
"Resident Evil 7" will be released on Jan. 24 for the PC, PS4, PS VR, and Xbox One. The DLC releases for the game is unclear, but everything will be out before the end of the year.
