Finnish multinational communications and information technology company Nokia has released its Nokia 6 in China and the firm is generating a lot of interest with new phones from HMD Global. Immediately after release, more than one million people registered for Nokia 6 first flash sale, which led to stock depletion within a minute.

Although the exact number of all units sold was not disclosed, the tech giant is expected to offer another flash sale shortly in the course of this month. Nokia 6 is being sold for 1,699 Chinese Yuan ($247.07) in China where it went on sale at around 10:06 a.m. on Jan.19, Thursday, at JD's e-commerce site and was declared sold out 10.07 a.m., Anzhuo reported.

The Nokia 6 smartphone features a 5.5-inch display and comes with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The device has a Snapdragon 430 chipset carrying an octa-core 1.4GHz CPU plus the Adreno 505 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside alongside the 64GB of native storage.

Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the new smartphone comes with a 16MP rear-facing camera and has an f/2.0 aperture. Its 8MP front-facing camera enables selfies shoots and handles video chats.

There are still no details about the release date of the Nokia 6 smartphone in the United States. Nokia may reveal about seven new devices, including the Nokia P1 flagship device, which is expected to be announced at MWC in February, according to Phone Arena.

The new flagship is expected to feature specs such as a Gorilla Glass 5 protected 5.3-inch Sharp Aquos Xx3 2K display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, a fingerprint sensor and dual-speakers.
