iOS 8.2

Apple rolled out the iOS 8.2 at the recent Spring Forward event, but a jailbreak developer warned users not to download the update if they want to jailbreak their devices.

"Jailbreakers stay away from today's 8.2 update for now, or you will get burned," jailbreak developer MuscleNerd tweeted.

Although the current iOS 8.1.3 include blocking measures that prevented users from jailbreaking their devices, the developers are reportedly working on the beta versions of iOS 8.2 and it has capabilities for its own jailbreak.

Chinese iOS jailbreak developer TaiG recently confirmed that he is working on the new iOS 8.2 jailbreak and will release it soon. The group announced it its website that it almost completed the untethered jailbreak of the new operating system. It just needed to make sure that the jailbreak breaches the security traps laid out by Apple.

TaiG is responsible for the iOS 8.1 jailbreak that works up to iOS 8.1.2 software. However, this was put into a halt with the release of iOS 8.1.3.

Meanwhile, users who upgraded to the new iOS 8.2 reported a bunch of bugs and issues on the latest update. Disappointed users flooded forums and social media with complaints. Users complained about the fast battery drain, poor cellular reception, broken messages, and Safari, WiFi, Bluetooth, performance and installation issues. iPad and iPhone users are mostly affected by the aforementioned after updating to the new version of the OS. Apple is bound to roll out patches that will resolve these issues in the next few weeks.

The Cupertino-based tech giant is also reportedly working on iOS 8.3 and iOS 9. The beta version of iOS 8.3 was recently rolled out to developers with Wireless Carplay Support. On the other hand, iOS 9 dubbed as Monarch will be introduced in the upcoming Worldwide Developers' Conference for the new generation of iPhone and iPad to be released this year.
