Upcoming 'Overwatch' update may buff Bastion

"Overwatch" is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It was released in May 2016 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Currently, there are plans to give the "Overwatch" hero Bastion a few updates. However, aside from the fact that it is happening, additional details or a timetable has yet to be given.

In a Blizzard forum thread, "Overwatch" lead designer Geoff Goodman hinted at the possible updates for the robot. This is in response to the current situation of Bastion, as most players find its current build lacking in a variety of aspects.

Goodman did not go into detail or revealed anything important, but he said that he is indeed making a few changes. The things he changed are still being tested internally, and as such there is nothing for him to share right now as well as a specific release date on when the update will go live.

As of now, Bastion became one of the characters least used since the game's beta period ended last year. It was first viewed as largely overpowered initially, but before long, players were able to develop strategies in order to defeat the robot easier.

Regardless, it just shows that Blizzard is not afraid to adjust or remake a character entirely, based on the player feedback. Some of the more recent ones is Roadhog, who is currently receiving an update to his hook ability, which gives more consistency to his means of pulling characters during a fight.

Perhaps the most retooling of an "Overwatch" character is Symmetra, one of the least played heroes in the game, due to her specialized use. According to Game Rant, she still remains to be the only hero to possess two ultimate abilities, which includes her traditional teleporters as well as the new shield generator that could absorb damage for her teammates in a wide area.

"Overwatch" is now available on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here is the latest video for the game:
