"American Idol" 2015 (American Idol XIV) announced its official Top 12 Wednesday night on Fox. Two Idol hopefuls, Quentin Alexander and Adanna Duru, made it as the judges' wildcard choices.

The AI Season 14 Top 12 sang their audition songs live on the reality-based competition. The Idol judges were unanimously wowed by some of the contestants, including Jax.

Jax, 18, is one of the most consistently strong contestants in "American Idol" 2015. She delivered on Wednesday a more polished cover of The Beatles' "I Wanna Hold Your Hand."

"I could have taken the whole song at the piano, that was so beautiful," AI 2015 judge Keith Urban told Jax after her number. The two other Idol judges this year are Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr.

Jax's charm and vocals are rivaled by the same gifts of the following Idol hopefuls in AI Season 14 Top 12: Joey Cook, 23; Adanna Duru, 18; and Tyanna Jones, 16.

Among the young gentlemen remaining in "American Idol" 2015, the following have the greatest potential to move up into the show: Clark Beckham, 22; Qaasim Middleton, 19; and Quentin Alexander, 20.

Adanna and Quentin did not make it to the Top 10 Idol hopefuls based on public votes, but the judges picked them as the season's wildcard entries based on their impressive overall performance in the competition, thus far.

The rest of the "American Idol" Season 14 Top 12 are: Nick Fradiani, 29; Rayvon Owen, 23; Daniel Seavey, 15; Maddie Walker, 17; and Sarina-Joi Crowe, 19.

"American Idol" 2015 is moving forward without these four eliminated contestants from the AI Top 16: Alexis Gomez, 22; Loren Lott, 22; Adam Ezegelian, 20; and Mark Andrew, 29.

AI Season 14 returns Thursday night to reveal who stays in the competition and make it to the annual Idol Tour.
