The rumor mill has finally talking about HTC 11. Fresh leaks suggest that the flagship will feature Snapdragon 835 chipset and 6 GB of RAM.

A leaked snapshot of the About Phone section that seems to be coming from a prototype of HTC 11, the alleged successor of HTC 10, has surfaced on Weibo. It has revealed key specs of the Taiwanese flagship, Android Pure reported.

The exact size of the display is not known but the snapshot suggests a strange display resolution of 1,556 x 2,550 pixels. The quad HD display is known for supporting a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels, Softpedia reported. The resolution available on the alleged HTC 11 suggests that it would be delivering a different aspect ratio. The HTC 11 rumors that came in November 2016 revealed that the flagship would be coming with a 5.5-inch quad HD display.

The device seems to be running MSM8990Pro processor which indicates that the device is powered by Snapdragon 835. It is coupled with 6 GB of RAM. The native storage of the device is mentioned as 112 GB which means that the flagship would be coming with a native storage of 128 GB. The HTC 11 seems to be running on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS covered with HTC Sense 9.0 skin.

However, there are several things about the screenshot that can makes it appear fake. First of all, the About Phone page appears to be quite old and the screenshot shows the latest edition of Android 7.1.2 running on the device. As of the writing, the latest Android version is only available for a handful of Google Nexus devices. There is no confirmation from Google as to when the update will be made available to smartphones from other OEMs.

HTC has released two smartphones in the previous month, the HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play. The HTC U Ultra is aesthetically beautiful smartphone that features a 5.7-inch quad HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC and 4 GB of RAM. Other specs include 64/128 GB storage models, a 12-megapixel rear shooter, a 16-megapixel frontal camera, a front-mounted fingerprint reader, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
