The Asus ZenFone 3s Max is the latest smartphone from the Taiwanese manufacturer that has arrived to take on the likes of Lenovo P2 with similar features. Here is a comparison between the two smartphones based on their specs and price.
Design and Display
The Asus ZenFone 3s Max and Lenovo P2 comes with metal unibody design. The ZenFone 3s Max measures 8.5 mm in thickness and weighs 175 grams and it comes in gold and black color choices, NDTV reported. The Lenovo P2 has a slim profile of 8.3 mm and its weight is 177 grams. It is available in color choices like champagne gold and graphite gray.
Compared to Lenovo P2, the ZenFone 3s Max comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display that offers an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The Lenovo P2 has a bigger AMOLED display of 5.5 inches and it supports a full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Both the smartphones 2.5D curved glass on top of their displays.
Chipset, RAM and Storage
The MediaTek MT6750 chipset that features a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor and Mali-T860 graphics along with 3 GB of RAM powers the ZenFone 3s Max. The native storage available on the device is 32 GB. it comes with an expandable storage slot on its hybrid SIM compartment.
The Lenovo P2 runs on Snapdragon 625 SoC that includes a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor and Adreno 506 graphics. Its 32 GB storage model comes in 3 GB and 4 GB RAM options. Its 64 GB model has 4 GB of RAM. It also supports a microSD card on its hybrid SIM slot.
Camera, Software and Other Features
Both smartphones have 13-megapixel f/2.0 aperture cameras enabled with features like phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. The Asus phone features an 8-megapixel selfie camera whereas the front-facing camera on Lenovo P2 is of 5-megapixel.
The Lenovo P2 is shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS customized with Vibe UI. The ZenFone 3s Max has the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS onboard modified with Zen UI. The physical Home buttons on both the devices are embedded with fingerprint scanners.
Battery and Price
The Asus ZenFone 3s Max has a 5.000 mAh battery, but the device lacks fast charging feature. The Lenovo P2's 5100 mAh battery is equipped with fast charging capabilities. A battery test conducted on both devices revealed that the battery of ZenFone 3s Max consumes faster, BGR reported.
The Asus ZenFone 3s Max is priced at Rs. 14,999 ($222). On other hand, the 32 GB Lenovo P2 along with 3 GB RAM carries a much cheaper pricing of Rs. 10,999 ($163).
