The cast of 'Orange is the New Black' poses backstage at the 61st Annual Obie Awards at Webster Hall on May 23, 2016 in New York City.

Netflix just recently announced that "Orange is the New Black" will be returning on June 9, Friday. Danielle Brooks, who plays as Taystee, hinted that season 5 will be very detailed and very intense.

Brooks also revealed that it will mainly focus on the aftermath of Poussey's death, with the 13-episode season being summarized in just three days, Express reported. The effects of Poussey's death to her immediate friends, Taystee and Soso, will also be explored.

Kimiko Glenn, who portrays the character of Soso, also confirmed her character will not have an easy way dealing with her girlfriend's demise. On the other hand, Dascha Polanco who plays as Daya revealed she can see her character pulling the trigger which will be aggravated by her postpartum depression.

Polanco said though her character may think twice about the repercussions of what she is about to do, what she is experiencing would still weigh more than her desire to be with her child to do the unthinkable. During the last season, a prison riot was prompted because a prison guard accidentally crashed Poussey which caused her death. Daya was seen pointing a gun at the guard before the season ended.

The majority of the main cast are confirmed to be coming back in season 5, while Netflix also revealed that the prison drama will be returning for a sixth and seventh season. The 30-second cameo role of Ruby Rose could also lead to appearances in the future, although an immediate return has not been green-lit so far.

Lori Petty, who plays as Lolly, shared the returning cast members already started filming the first episode. She also revealed the uncertainty of her character's return. Aside from Brooks, Glenn, and Polanco, Taylor Schilling (Piper), Kate Mulgrew (Red), Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes), Laverne Cox (Sophia) and Lauren Prepon (Alex) will be reprising their roles.

"Orange is the New Black" has become a crowd favorite since it first aired in 2013. Earlier this month, it received its third Best Ensemble in a Comedy award during the Screen Actors Guild, Independent reported.
