"Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia" from developer Intelligent Systems has been revealed to fans for several weeks now. Both the developer and Nintendo seem to keep the fans all hyped up before it is released as they rolled out English snapshots from the upcoming game.
Screenshots of the game's western version were first spotted on Nintendo's UK website. Apart from the translated texts and menus, it is also revealed that the game will also be dubbed in English. Another element - dungeon crawling, will be incorporated into the game making it unique among the franchise's other titles, according to Polygon.
"Shadows of Valentia" is said to be the latest installment in the game series since "Fire Emblem Fates" that came out in 2015. Moreover, the game will be out on the 3DS handheld, though a couple of "Fire Emblem" titles are currently in the works for the inbound Switch platform.
In line with this, "Fire Emblem Warriors" is just one of the two titles designated for the aforementioned console. Per the video that was released during the Switch event, it is said that the game will be out this fall.
For those who are fairly new to the franchise, "Shadows of Valentia" is the overhauled version of the game series' 1992 title - "Fire Emblem Gaiden" for the Famicom game system. In addition, Gaiden did not get the chance to be introduced to the west.
The forthcoming game will still boast the same game elements that "Gaiden" has featured in the 90s but way better. "Shadows of Valentia" will be out on April 20 in Japan and on May 19 in North America and Europe.
