The 2017 Mobile World Congress is just weeks away and LG is one of the companies that are pretty much preoccupied as of late in promoting their new flagship handset - the LG G6. From the hints and leaks that have been making rounds, it may well seem that the device will be jumping on the bezel-less bandwagon.
The Seoul-based tech firm has confirmed early on about their banner phone as invites for their upcoming event at the MWC in Barcelona is expected to reveal the handset that promises to don minimal bezels. With Feb. 26 as its launch date, the invite also provided some details on what to expect from the phone.
The invitation is more of a blueprint for the soon to be unveiled device showcasing an image of G6's display on the left while the right side is a sketch of its screen with four small circles on each corner, Pocket Lint has learned. This clearly suggests that the display will sport curved corners unlike most of the current phone renders.
Spy shots of the phone's Ringke cases have become rife online that seems to confirm some upcoming elements of the handset. If the leaked cases are anything to go by, the G6 will boast a dual snapper and a fingerprint sensor on its back panel, according to GSMArena.
A 5.7-inch display is also expected from the phone including a 90 percent screen to body ratio. Unlike other rivals, LG will still stick with the audio jack alongside a USB Type-C hub.
Specs under its hood are undisclosed as of late. Nevertheless, it is believed that it will carry a Snapdragon 821 chipset from Qualcomm instead of a more powerful 835. It is said that fellow South Korean conglomerate Samsung is keeping those 835s for themselves as they are also about to unveil their Galaxy S8 this 2017.
