WrestleMania 33 Rumors: Finn Balor not going to have a match at the event despite being healthy

Finn Balor lands a heavy strike against Seth Rollins during their SummerSlam matchup for the inaugural WWE Universal Championship title.

Many wrestling fans have been waiting for six months for the return of Finn Balor from a shoulder injury. He is expected to be cleared and healthy before WrestleMania 33 but the latest WWE rumors have revealed that he is not scheduled for any match.

According to Cageside Seats, Balor is expected to be cleared by doctors before WrestleMania 33 on April 2 in Orlando, Florida. He was rumored to be one of the surprise entrants at the 2017 Royal Rumble but it turned out to be Roman Reigns.

The WWE and Balor trolled the fans as they teased his appearance at the Rumble. The report also noted that the only sure thing for WrestleMania regarding "The Demon" is his appearance on the event. The promotion has not finalized their plans for him but they are surely going to be cautious, per Sportskeeda.

Also, all the main event talents on Monday Night Raw already have potential opponents for WrestleMania 33. Kevin Owens already attacked Chris Jericho, Bill Goldberg accepted Brock Lesnar's offer, Seth Rollins and Triple H are still on a collision course with Samoa Joe as "The Destroyer" and Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker.

Injuries crippled the WWE in last year's WrestleMania but they still managed to put one hell of a show. An appearance from Balor is still a big thing since he's one of the most charismatic stars in the company at the moment.

The 35-year-old superstar has been out with the shoulder injury since late August 2016. He was called up to the main roster at last year's WWE draft. He was immediately given a massive push as he became the inaugural WWE Universal Champion by defeating Seth Rollins at SummerSlam.

However, Balor suffered a shoulder injury during his match with Rollins and he was forced to relinquish the Universal title the next night on Raw. He immediately underwent surgery to repair the injured shoulder and he was ruled out for four to six months.

It should be noted that these purely speculative at the moment nothing has been confirmed. Check out the video below to watch Balor relinquish the WWE Universal Championship on Monday Night Raw.
