Taecyeon of 2PM arrives for the APAN star road during the 18th Busan International Film Festival on October 4, 2013 in Busan, South Korea.

2PM band member Taecyeon is set to make his big screen debut with a thriller film. Titled "House Above Time," the Kpop idol will portray the role of a priest.

Taecyeon will soon showcase his acting abilities in the horror movie "House Above Time." The film tells the story of the housewife Mi Hee (Kim Yun Jin) who had to deal with the mysterious disappearance of her son coupled with the untimely death of her husband Chul Joong (Jo Jae Yun).

Accused of murdering Chul Joong and blamed for the disappearance of her son, Mi Hee was sent to prison for 25 years. Upon her release, she returns to her old family home where all of the said events occurred, Korea Herald reported.

2PM's Taecyeon will portray the role of Priest Choi who takes interest in Mi Hee's murder case. Believing that Mi Hee is innocent of the said crime, the priest will begin an investigation that will uncover the secrets of Mi Hee's house.

Meanwhile, the Kpop idol is no stranger to portraying a role in a horror genre production. Taecyeon previously played the lead character in the horror romance series titled "Let's Fight Ghost."

In the said drama, the singer-actor played the role of the college student Bong Pal who can see ghosts and sidelines as an exorcist. He eventually falls in love with the lost spirit of a girl in a coma.

Given that "House Above Time" marks the 2PM rapper's first movie project, the South Korean musician shared in an earlier interview that he was ecstatic at landing a part in the said film. He also admitted that his co-star Kim, known for her role in the U.S. TV series "Lost," was one of the reasons that he wanted to join the production, All Kpop quoted Taecyeon as saying.

"House Above Time" is slated to hit South Korean movie theaters in April. Watch a clip from Taecyeon's drama "Let's Fight Ghost" below:
