Borussia Dortmund has been reeling at the moment with four winless performances in their last six matches. As a result, the team has dropped to the fourth spot in the league standings, tied on points with fifth-place team Hoffenheim but has a higher goal differential. They are still holding on to the final Champions League qualifying berth for the next season.

Die Borussen succumbed to an embarrassing 1-2 loss to cellar-dwellers SV Darmstadt 98 on the road at the Jonathan-Heimes-Stadion am Böllenfalltor last Saturday, as per The Guardian.

Darmstadt's American forward Terrence Boyd opened the scoring in the 21st minute of the match with a left-footed shot from the center of the box.

However, Dortmund was able to equalize one minute before the halftime break with Portuguese defender Raphael Guerreiro's own left-footer off an assist by teammate Emre Mor.

Croatian forward Antonio Colak netted what proved to be the winning goal for the hosts in the 67th minute as they also held head coach Thomas Tuchel's squad scoreless for the rest of the match.

Meanwhile, Wolfsburg snapped a two-game losing slide after nipping contending squad Hoffenheim, 2-1, at their home ground of Volkswagen Arena last Sunday, the Washington Post reported.

The visitors netted the only goal in the first half in the 26th minute, courtesy of a right-footer from Steven Zuber, as it looked like another lost game for head coach Valérien Ismaël's side.

However, Die Wolfe came out strongly in the second half, scoring two goals in the 50th and 73rd minutes from midfielders Maximillian Arnold and Daniel Didavi respectively, to snatch away the win and three points in the standings.

Wolfsburg is now in the 14th place in the 18-team league table, six points above the bottom three relegation area.
