Milan is a struggling team right now with five winless performances in their last six matches, including a three-game losing slide. As a result, they have dropped to the seventh spot in the league standings from as high as the fourth place. The team is now four points below Inter Milan and Atalanta for a Europa League qualifying spot next season.

In their most recent Italian top flight fixture on Monday, I Rossoneri was held to a 1-1 draw by fellow contending side Lazio on the road at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, as per SkySports.

Lazio captain Lucas Biglia broke the game's deadlock in the first half injury time to give the hosts a one-point lead at the half.

However, head coach Vincenzo Montella's squad was able to find the equalizer with five minutes left before full-time as Spanish forward Suso netted a left-footed shot from the center of the box off an assist by Jose Sosa.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina routed Udinese, 3-0, at their home ground of Artemio Franchi Stadium last Saturday, ESPN reported.

Spanish midfielder Borja Valero opened the scoring for head coach Paulo Sousa's side in the 41st minute before Senegalese striker Khouma Babacar doubled the lead in the 62nd with a right-footed shot from outside of the box with Valero providing the assist.

Italian winger Federico Bernardeschi sealed the win in the 80th minute with a successful penalty kick off a hand ball by Udinese midfielder Seko Fofana.

The win enabled Viola to bounce back from their loss to Roma in the previous round. The team is now unbeaten in five of their last six games to climb to the eighth spot of the league table, only three points behind Milan.
