Pescara has only won once after 24 matches as the newly-promoted squad continues to struggle in the Italian top flight this season. With only 14 rounds left in this term's campaign, it looks like the team is headed back to the Serie B next season.
In their most recent Serie A game last Sunday, the Delfini succumbed to a high-scoring 3-5 defeat at the hands of middling club Torino on the road at the Olimpico di Torino, as per Four Four Two.
The hosts zoomed to a 3-0 lead at the half with goals by Iago Falque, Arlind Ajeti, and Andrea Belotti in the second, ninth, and 15th minutes. Adem Ljajic added another one to open the second half as he netted a goal in the 53rd.
Belotti made it a 5-0 count after he scored his second goal one minute after the hour-mark of the match.
However, caretaker manager Luciano Zauri's squad fought back and scored three goals in the final 17 minutes to keep the score more respectable. An own goal by Ajeti in the 73rd minutes was followed by a brace from Ahmad Benali in the 75th and 83rd for the final count.
Meanwhile, Genoa is on a two-game losing slide after getting blanked by Napoli, 0-2, on the road at the San Paolo Stadium on Feb. 10, via USA Today.
Napoli midfielders Piotr Zielinski and Emanuele Giaccherini netted the goals for the hosts in the 50th and 68th minutes to hand head coach Ivan Juric's side their 11th loss of the season.
