"NieR: Automata" will be getting an online element called the Android System. The upcoming video game will also get downloadable content and free PlayStation 4 themes.
On the official website of Games Talk, the details of the new system were revealed. It shows information about what happens when a player dies in the video game.
In case the player dies in some part of the journey towards the goal, an Android will be left behind at the place they die. This android will contain various data like plug-in chips and many more, and by recovering it, they can take back the data again.
Players who die without recovering the android, they will lose the previous android and the data stored within it. There are also cases where players will play for a long time without recovering the android, which will disappear with the data.
There are times that players will just repair their androids and not recover it, which becomes a temporary asset on the battlefield for a fixed period of time. For those who are connected online, they can discover other players' androids, and by repairing them, they can fight together with those androids for a fixed period of time also. Recovering other players' androids to gain their plug-in chips was not confirmed by Square Enix, so it remains a secret for now.
9S voice actor Natsuki Hanae requested the game developers to create DLC for "NieR: Automata," according to another post on the official website of Games Talk. The voice actor hopes for a costume of Caim from "Drakengard" for this video game's character, 2B. Two PS4 themes will also be available for free through the PlayStation Store in Japan starting on Feb. 22.

It will feature the director Yoko Taro, producer Yosuke Saito, Platinum Games game designer Takahisa Taura, and many more.
