‘The Defenders’ spoiler: Will Claire Temple, Luke Cage and Matthew Murdock form an awkward love triangle?

Marve's The Defenders includes Luke Cage, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist.

Netflix's "The Defenders" is going to premiere soon and will band together all four Marvel heroes in Hell's Kitchen. The show will also feature some familiar faces from past Marvel shows, particularly Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple. So far, Claire has appeared in "Daredevil" and "Luke Cage," making her one of the more prominent characters aside from the core team. As she returns in "The Defenders," executive producer Marco Ramirez reveals what's to come for the character.

In "Luke Cage," Claire develops a romantic relationship with the titular hero played by Mike Colter. When the two reunite in "The Defenders," fans can expect that the couple would still remain together.

"Anytime you're smitten with someone and hanging out with them for the first time, there's a spark," Colter told EW about Luke and Claire's relationship. "That newness makes everybody excited."

However, Luke is not the only superhero with which Claire has a romantic history. In the first season of "Daredevil," Claire nursed Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock after he was severely wounded due to a fight. Claire is also one of Matt's most trusted confidantes and was one of the first people who knew about his vigilante activities.

It may be easy to believe that there would be sort of awkwardness between Claire and Matt when the latter finds out about Claire's relationship with Luke. Fortunately, Colter cleared out that none of that sort will happen.

Colter explained that Matt and Claire never had any romantic relationship. "My story is that she spent the night and then she slept in another bedroom. So I'm sorry, I need some kind of evidence that Claire and Daredevil did it. This is just hearsay. She's my girl," Colter said.

According to ScreenRant, Claire will bridge all four superheroes on Netflix's Marvel stable. Dawson will also appear in "Iron Fist" when it premieres this spring. Clearly, the character is more than just a love interest for the main characters, and she will have a bigger role as the show progress.

"The Defenders" will premiere later this year on Netflix.
