Marvel is close to releasing their "Iron Fist" Netflix exclusive which will air before "The Defenders." New set photos and promotional images have been released by the companies.
"Iron Fist" is another series that is set inside Marvel's Cinematic Universe. The martial arts superhero will be joining "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones" and "Luke Cage" in the upcoming "The Defenders" Netflix series. The setup is similar to how the Avengers were formed in the MCU.

Netflix and Marvel's new "Iron Fist" photos show Daniel Rand (Finn Jones) with Daredevil and Luke Cage's nurse Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) as well as Jessica Jones's lawyer Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss). The possible context of Hogarth and Rand's team up could be because of a charge against the former. Jones's fellow "Game of Thrones" alum Jessica Henwick will also be joining as Colleen Wing, CBR reported.
Hogarth has started to take on legal cases for superheros starting with Jessica Jones and Rand could be another client. Rand could have injured or killed a personality in battle which may result in the alleged charges against him. The full plot of the show has not been revealed yet.
There were also "Iron Fist" promotional photos that show the "Game of Thrones" star showing off his character's chest tattoo. His chest tattoo was already being criticized because it did not look good as expected from Marvel.
Similar to "Daredevil," Rand's costume does not seem to be present in the first season. The following season could see the traditional "Iron Fist" costume from the comics improved considering that it may be too colorful for the whole series' theme.
In the comics, Rand was trained in martial and mystic arts. He was able to defeat Shou-Lao and earn the power of the Iron Fist, hence the name of the show. Rand goes back to New York City as the Iron Fist after 15 years of being missing and will face The Meachums family with David Wenham playing Harold as the father, Screen Rant has learned. It is not known whether or not the flaming fist and kicks will be present in the show.
"Iron Fist" premieres on Netflix in March 17 with the same episodes setup as Marvel's previous series. Rand will be joining the "The Defenders" which is set to be released later this year.
