"Descendants of the Sun" star Song Joong Ki will not be having a fan meeting in Indonesia and Singapore in April. It is his "Battleship Island" co-star So Ji Sub who will.
On April 7, So will be in Jakarta, Indonesia, for a fan meeting titled "TWENTY: The Moment in Jakarta." The event organized by Mecima Pro will be held at The Kasablanka Hall, Kota Kasablanka, Soompi reported.
The fan meeting in Jakarta marks So's 20th anniversary as an actor. In 1996, he played Kim Chul Soo in the sitcom "Three Guys and Three Girls," which was his first acting role.
So will not stay in Jakarta for long as he will have another fan meeting at the MES Theatre at Mediacorp in Singapore on April 9 at 6 p.m., according to Strait Times. Priced between $78 and $198, tickets are on sale via Sistic.
After "Three Guys and Three Girls," So went on to star in several TV series. Among his memorable TV characters are Chul Min in "I Hate You, But It's Fine," Park Min Ho in "Wang Rung's Land," Jang Hee Mon in "Delicious Proposal," Choi Kyo In in "We are Dating Now," Joo Joong Won in "Master's Sun" and John Kim in "Oh My Venus."
In 2004, So played Kang In Wook in "What Happened in Bali." The SBS drama series also aired in Japan, Thailand and the Philippines.
On the big screen, he played Ji Hyeong Do in "A Company Man" in 2012 and played a cameo role as King Jeongjo in "The Throne" in 2015. He is set to star in "Battleship Island" as Choi Chil Sung.
One week after So's fan meeting at the MES Theatre at Mediacorp, another South Korean actor will be in Singapore. "Goblin" actor Lee Dong Wook will meet his fans at Mastercard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands, Grand Theatre on April 15 at 7.30 p.m.
