"The Legend of the Blue Sea" star Lee Min Ho is exactly two years younger than "Vinyl" alum Douglas Smith. The former was born on June 22, 1987 while the latter was born on June 22, 1985.
Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea. He attended Konkuk University where he studied Bachelor of Arts in Film.
On the other hand, Smith was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He attended Shakespeare Summer School of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
In 2014, Smith starred in "Punk Rock" by Simon Stephens at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in the West Village. This was the play's New York premiere and the actor's Broadway debut.

In 2016, Min Ho made his television comeback when he starred in "The Legend of the Blue Sea." He played a magistrate's son in the Joseon era who is also a town head who fell in love with a mermaid named Se Hwa, played by Jun Ji Hyun.
