Apple CEO Tim Cook speaks during an Apple event in San Francisco, California March 9, 2015.

Apple is now trying to expand its range as they jump into the cable-free subscription scene with their very own Apple TV.

Apple TV brings your favorite channels from your TV screens into the wireless and retina displays of Apple's technological ecosystem. This will cater to a wider range of media consumption for consumers, and a new platform for media production.

It is similar to the Sling TV app that lets you use your iPhone and iPads to stream channels and TV shows on a monthly fee.

The service is also set to eradicate the expense from traditional cable subscription and provide TV viewing experience minus the hassle from cable cords and wires. Similar to what platforms like Amazon and Netflix offers.

It is expected to include 25 channels along with powerhouse broadcasting channels such as ABC, CBS and Fox although the service will not include NBCUniversal at the moment, The Guardian reported. This is because of falling-out between the NBCUniversal's parent company, Comcast, and Apple.

Tom Neumayr, Apple's spokeperson, refused to comment regarding the issue.

There are no final announcements from the company regarding the subscription costs yet, but rumors are circulating that the monthly steaming may cost $30-$40.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the online TV service by Apple is set to be announced in the United States this coming June.

HBO Now, is also part of the partnership between HBO and Apple to make HBO's standalone subscription exclusive for Apple TV.
