After making a lot of buzz about the Macbook Air, Apple has finally revealed its latest edition of the notebook in a press conference.
Macbook Air's specs are enthralling. It is the thinnest laptop released by Apple so far. It measures at 12inch wide and 13.1 mm thick only. The device is also ridiculously light at just two pounds. The previous version of Macbook Air weight 2.5 pounds. The Macbook Air is covered in premium-grade metal. It will be available in other colors as well such as steel grey and gold.
The new version has a neat fan-less design. The display resolution is also very tempting at 2304 x 1440 pixels of 12 inch Retina display. The display is thin too at just 0.88 mm.
The Macbook will also feature Intel core M dual-core processor which would give it a powerful performance and an enhanced keyboard with individual LED lights. The track-pad is set to get some enhancements as well. The Force Touch Track-pad is a smart touch pad that can tell the difference between a tap and a click. It is pressure sensitive and can also detect difference between hard press and light tap to show different options.
The flash storage would come in 256GB and 512GB versions. The Macbook Air would have a single USB-C port for charging and using flash drives. Apple unveiled its adapter dongle separately at the cost of $80. It also boasted that the Macbook will have 35% more battery capacity with 10 hours of use on a single charge.
The Macbook is priced at $1299 for 256GB and $1599 for 512GB. The notebook is set to come out in the market in April.
