Floyd Mayweather, as if living out a Rocky movie scene, uploaded a video of him using an ax to chop wood as a preparation for his May 2 "superfight" showdown with Manny Pacquiao.

Boxers often use the method of chopping wood to boost how strong and explosive they are. In "Rocky IV" (1985), the on-screen boxer chopped wood and pulled a sleigh, while training in frigid Russia.

Mayweather has revealed that for the past several weeks his training regimen has included a lot of "running" and "sit-ups." Now he is taking his training to the next level, doing the everyday workout of a lumberjack.

It seemed that Mayweather is responding to a Friday interview with Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's trainer. Roach argued that the 38-year-old Mayweather is "not a good" role model, according to Bleacher Report

Mayweather's training video seems to imply that he is not a bad role model. In other words, having a strong work ethic while training for the superfight would prove that he is indeed someone who people should admire and imitate.

Meanwhile, Sporting News reported that Pacquiao is using different methods to train for the big bout. Promoter Bob Arum shared that he is focusing on "timing and positioning". Arum explains that achieving a KO (knockout) is not related to strength. He believes that Pacquiao's style "will have changed" before the boxing match next month.

The Mayweather-Pacquiao bout will take place in MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada, and could gross around $400 million.
