Former Major League baseball pitcher Tom House has teed off Tim Tebow for being ready to play again in the NFL, after spending nearly two years in exile, prepping up and constantly working on the rough edges of his passing game as a quarterback, according to NBC Sports.

Tom House, who personally coaches future NFL Hall of Famer Tom Brady of the New England Patriots and Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints, expressed admiration for Tebow's unrelenting preparation just to be ready once that opportunity to play again comes.

"What amazes me is this young man, with no job prospects, has prepared just as hard as he would if he were the No. 1 quarterback for an NFL team," House told Albert Breer of NFL Media during a phone  interview on Monday. "He's busted his butt.  He spins the ball better than he did and he's much more accurate than he was. I think he's ready."

Tebow was cut from the league on Aug. 31, 2013 when the New England Patriots released him two months after signing a two-year contract that guaranteed him no money. After being cut, Tebow went public and graciously thanked the Patriots organization for the opportunity to play and stated: "I will remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback."

Before joining the NFL Draft in 2010, Tebow played as a starting quarterback for Florida Gators, where he finished his sophomore season as the only player in college football history to rush and pass for at least 20 touchdowns in the same season. His all-around performance that year won him the highly-coveted accolade, The Heisman Memorial Trophy Award.

But besides the stunning athletic performance, Tebow is also quite a character. In 2009, BCS Championship Game, Tebow wore John 3:16 on his eyeblack. The verse became the highest ranked Google search term over the next 24 hours, generating over 90 million searches. This was followed by "Proverbs 3: 5-6."
