Nexus 6 by Google has launched Android 5.1 Lollipop update in its devices, even the factory update for Google Nexus devices are available for download for those who want to update to Android 5.1 Lollipop manually. While many companies and carriers are in the process of updating their devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop it seems to be running very slow.
Being a direct product of Google, Nexus has the privilege of receive updates earlier than other devices, but the update is done gradually in time. The Nexus 6 has two build variants which are LMY47D and LMY47E. Afterwards the T-Mobile build variant has also been rolled out as LMY47M according to Android Headlines.
The update is considered to be quite slow and updating is taking a lot of time and requires the use of Wi-Fi, the latest news that has come through is that the AT&T Android 5.1 update has now been made available on Nexus 6. There has been no official confirmation on the update, but the AT&T Nexus 6 has received its Android 5.1 update, as stated by Android Guys.
With the introduction of the Lollipop update in the Nexus 6 devices, it will add to the increase in performance of the devices and even fix major bugs that were existing in the previous Android Operating System. A number of new features and security additions like Device Protection, HD voice calls, and LED light notifications will be added by the update.
