Rocksteady, the developers of Batman Arkham series has announced that Arkham Knight release date has been delayed to June 23 while a re-mastered version of older games is expected to get launched during the holiday season.
The year has witnessed plenty of re-mastered games which are all being ported to PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City is set to join this list of 1080p titles soon.
Warner Bros holds the rights for Arkham Origins and it may not join the list of ports unless the studio changes its mind, reports Gamespot.
While the next gen game is scheduled for a June release, it is being said that the older titles duology will get launched on both consoles during the holiday season in December.
Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles have been receiving too many ports but very less exclusives and games. Critics and gamers are equally unhappy by this trend which they hope will end when the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 is hosted. A lot of new titles are being expected to be announced during E3 2015 which starts on June 16.
Arkham Asylum was the first title that successfully paved way for a Batman game to become critically acclaimed. Rocksteady enjoyed the success which prompted them to make three more games in the series, each one becoming better than the other. It is the dark, gritty presentation combined with an amazing combat system that made them popular, says Metro.
An official announcement is expected from Rocksteady which shouldn't be too long. To keep fans engaged, the developers have released a game play video for Arkham Knight on Youtube.
