HTC One M9's 20MP Camera Loses To Samsung S6 16MP, Apple iPhone 6 8MP Camera

The HTC One M9 smartphone is powered by 1.5GHz processor with 3GB RAM and 20-megapixel rear camera.

Camera comparison between Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9, and Apple iPhone 6 is set on the table for review to find out which will reign. 

These three mobile giants' latest smart phones are set side by side with each other to finally gauge which of these flagships possess the best when it comes to camera shootouts.

Gizmag reported that Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Edge's rear cameras have a high resolution of 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera for taking "selfies." It possess a 2988 x 5312 pixels, optical image stabilization, and autofocus. Its secondary camera has 1080p@30fps, dual video call, and Auto HDR.

The HTC One M9 has 20MP rear camera and a secondary front camera with only 4MP. The primary camera has a dual-LED two-tone flash with sapphire lens cover. Additional features are geo-tagging, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama feature for those wide scenic views.

The Apple iPhone 6 has 8MP primary rear camera and a secondary front of MP. It has an autofocus with Focus Pixels, Optical image stabilization, and true tone flash. When shooting on a panoramic mode, it can give up to 43 megapixels per image. It also has tap to focus feature and Photo geotagging too. Self-timer is also one of its awesome features.

According to CNET, it does not follow that having a higher camera pixel gives the best photo output. This is proven with HTC One M9 having a 20MP rear camera against Samsung S6 16MP and iPhone 6 8MP. When used outdoors, it showed that the 20MP of HTC One M9 was not able to capture the crisp look of the images. It give an overexposed light sources on most of the shots. For indoor photos, it is found to be dim and grainy. The objects looked blotchy unlike those taken from the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 both of which deliver HDR images instantly.
