The most critical battle that has been ensuing for the past couple of years has been between the various smartphone makers globally. The latest in this field has been the one between Samsung and HTC over the phones the brands plan to launch in 2015.
Both Samsung and HTC have to counter the dip in their respective sales in the previous years. Moreover, Samsung registered a dip in the demand of its S5 handset in 2014 and has been looking for ways to rebuild the Galaxy S Brand ever since. Besides, HTC has taken to revamping the M8 handset in the form of M9 following the tradition of sleek body coupled with high end audio and amazing UI design.
Know Your Mobile provides a good comparison of the two smartphones specifying that M9 with its 20 MP camera and increased battery life is almost equivalent to Galaxy S6 with its superior connectivity and incorporated processor of 2.1 GHz.
President of HTC America, John MacKenzie, has remarked to Trusted Reviews that as opposed to the Korean smartphone maker, it focuses more on the avenues that are left unexplored by the other brands. Furthermore, it laid emphasis on the battery insufficiency of S6 and added that HTC has increased its battery capacity by almost 10 percent from M8 to M9 along with the provision of SD card slots for the media frenzy consumers.
The initial order for both Galaxy S6 and S6 EDGE are off the charts at about 20 million which have been calculated by taking into account all the orders placed carriers to sell it to the consumers, globally.
The compelling campaigning by both HTC and Samsung has made sure that these are the most anticipated phones of the year 2015. Moreover, how the phones would actually pan out on the consumer base would be revealed only when the phones are launched.
