Actress Fan Bingbing plays as Blink in the Hollywood blockbuster movie "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

Chinese actress Fan Bingbing had her face lightly injured while shooting "Hurry Up, Brother," compelling her to charge the producers an insurance worth 100 million yuan ($16 million).

The 33-year-old actress was shooting as a guest at the show in March when large crowds jostled in the set, resulting in the cancellation of the shoot.

The producers stated that they have covered Fan's insurance, but not as high as what reports said.

Over a thousand security guards were deployed around the set to guarantee the safety of the celebrities, the producer added. In every episode, "Hurry Up, Brother" provides all guests with an insurance coverage ranging from 3 million yuan ($480,000) to 40 million yuan ($6,500,000).

Fan Bingbing is an award-winning actress, television producer and pop singer. She became famous when she played as Jinsuo in the Chinese television series "My Fair Princess." The actress also played in several foreign films including the Hollywood blockbuster movie "X-Men: Days of Future Past" in 2014.

In 2013 and 2014, Fan topped the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list.

Fan's action regarding her injury resulted in negative comments from the online community.

"Hurry Up, Brother" is the Chinese adaption of South Korean series "Running Man" by SBS. Hosted by Deng Chao, Angelababy, Li Chen, Michael Chen, Ryan Cheng, Wang Baoqiang and Wong Cho Lam, the variety show has topped China's TV ratings since its premiere episode on Oct. 10, 2014.
