Beauty and the Beast

"Beauty and the Beast" is one of Disney's highly anticipated live-action films. Recently, fans have seen the cast together in Josh Gad's groupie photo.

Josh Gad posted their group photo on his Instagram account on April 15, Wednesday, with the caption "Can't wait for you to be our guest." From left to right, the photo shows Josh Gad, Dan Stevens, Emma Watson, Luke Evans, and Kevin Kline.

Their group selfie has gotten almost 14,000 likes and a number of comments from fans expressing their excitement on the upcoming live-action film.

While the cast members look happy in their photo, fans missed the other members including Emma Thompson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen, and Audra McDonald.

It can be noticed that the actors in the group photo are the live-action cast of "Beauty and the Beast" while the other three are those with voice-over roles.

Given the present list of characters, the production team might showcase more talents to the cast such as Lumiere, who has not been casted yet. Filming might start within the next few weeks, as per Cinema Blend.

Sacha Baron Cohen could play the role of the candelabra Lumiere, as previously noted in MTV. One reason is his ability to do musicals, which was seen in his role as Thenardier in Tom Hooper's "Les Miserables" in 2012.

Lumiere's name means "light" in French and he was featured as a supporting character in Disney's 1991 version of "Beauty and the Beast." Kind-hearted, charismastic, and rebellious, he is Beast's best friend, who is transformed back into human at the end of the story.

The film stars Gad as Lefou, Stevens as Beast, Watson as Belle, Evans as Gaston, Kline as Maurice, Mbatha-raw as Plumette, Thompson as Mrs. Potts, McKellen as Cogsworth, and McDonald as Garderobe.

"The Twilight Saga" director Bill Condon is set to helm the film, along with Steve Gaub, Don Hahn, David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman, Jack Morrissey, Jeffrey Silver, and Greg Yolen as his co-producers. "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" author Stephen Chbosky is on board to pen the script for the upcoming film.

Aside from "Beauty and the Beast," other Disney films that are plotted for a live-action remake include "Mulan," "The Jungle Book," "Dumbo," "Winnie the Pooh," and "Peter Pan."

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" live-action remake is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Mar. 17, 2017.
