"Green Lantern" and its Easter eggs have been teased several times in a series of episodes on "The Flash." This has led fans to speculate that the character could either be included in the series or could have its own spinoff.
In several episodes of "The Flash," there have been constant mentions of Ferris Air, the place where Hal Jordan or "Green Lantern" works. Additionally, Hal's hometown, Coastal City, has also been a subject of several discussions in the series.
Just recently, the Central City crew was featured at a runway that was previously owned by Ferris Air, thus heightening speculations that "Green Lantern" himself could appear in the upcoming season of the CW show, according to Comic Book.
In addition to these clues, the Star Labs crew on "The Flash" has already fought against a meta-human that used light to take control of people's emotions. When a person stares into the meta-human's red eyes, they automatically experience uncontrollable rage, iDigitalTimes reported.
The exact same instance has been taking place in several "Green Lantern" comic books under DC Comics. The red light in particular, or the red eye, is similar to what Red Lantern has that activates his rage.
With this, it seems that the creators of the CW series are already slowly preparing audiences for a possible "Green Lantern" spinoff. However, to date, all of these are just speculations and there has been no word yet from the show creators whether or not it will push through.
"The Flash" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
