LG is yet to officially reveal its new LG Escape 2 smartphone, but it seems to have already made an appearance in the AT&T’s website with a $179.99 price tag (off contract) and 99 cents price tag (two-year contract). Besides, the new smartphone is also available for monthly installments starting at just $6 to $9 through the carrier’s Next payment service.
Nearly three years after the LG Escape launch, the company has come up with the successor featuring a 4.7-inch curved IPS display with in-cell touch technology. LG Escape 2 has a slim bezel finish, rear-positioned volume buttons and the slightly curved design, which is said to be similar to the LG G Flex, according to an Android Central report.
LG Escape 2 features a Snapdragon 1.2GHz quad-core processor, along with an Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Equipped with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1MP front-facing camera, the smartphone packs the company’s popular feature Gesture Shot for taking selfies. Other features like QSlide multi-tasking, Glance View, Quick Memo, Knock On and Knock Code have also made their way to the new smartphone.
In terms of memory, the device comes with an 8GB of internal space and a microSD slot for up to 32GB of expandable storage. The LG Escape 2, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, and has got a 2100mAh removable battery with talk time of up to 14 hours and standby time of up to 17 hours.
As of now, there is no information about availability of the new LG Escape 2 outside the U.S., in the device’s listing in AT&T website.
