Apart from its almost zero bezel display that seems to be its most distinctive design theme, what is also evident is that the Lavender will be another one to join the fast emerging selfie phone brigade.

Rumors pertaining to the Lavender claim it to come with a mighty 13 megapixel cam up front, complete with a LED flash. There is going to be a 13 megapixel camera on the rear as well, reported GSMArena that further stated that both the on-board cameras benefit from Sony's much acclaimed IMX214 sensor technology.

Interestingly, the other Sony phone launched not too long ago, the Xperia C4 too can be considered selfie friendly albeit on a lesser scale given the 5 megapixel front facing camera it comes with.

The Lavender though is believed to have a larger profile than the C4 though exact dimensions are missing at the moment. Analysts estimated the Lavender to come with a FHD (1920 x 1080p) display that will be larger than the 5.5 inch screen on the C4. The largest that Sony has produced till date has been the T2 Ultra with a 6 inch screen.

The Lavender will also feature a 1.7GHz octa core MediaTek MT6752 chip at its heart that will be complemented by a 2 GB RAM and a 16 GB memory. The phone will also run Android 5.0 Lollipop right out of the box, though Softpedia claimed it could be Android 5.1.1 now that Sony is already in the process of rolling out the latest Android on some of its devices.
