Apple Watch OS Update 1.0.1 Released; Language Support for Danish, Dutch, Thai, Brazilian Portuguese Added

Apple released the first 1.0.1 Apple Watch OS update that contains patches for bug fixes, performance improvements and language support for Danish, Dutch, Thai, Brazilian Portuguese. The 51.6 MB update can be downloaded and installed via the Apple Watch app on the iPhone.

In order to download the update, the iPhone needs to be connected to the Wifi and have over 50 percent battery, according to 9to5Mac. The whole process takes about 20 minutes.

The Apple Watch OS Update also features almost 300 new Emojis that were not present on the device till now. These emojis are part of the OS X 10.10.3 and iOS 8.3 versions, according to Forbes.

Apart from the new Emojis to play around with, the crucial update also features numerous performance enhancement features for Siri, and accessibility. It directly impacts the fitness apps for cycling, running, outdoor walking and rowing.

Moreover, the update supports the languages of Swedish, Turkish and Russian, in addition to the above-mentioned languages. A major part of this update is dedicated to fixing the numerous security lapses present on the device. Researchers at Kaspersky Labs, Google and Apple had noticed that the Apple Watch could be vulnerable to denial of services. This issue is now fixed through this update.

Apple is also planning to launch a special Apple Watch feature known as "Find my Watch." This will help the watch owners to know the exact location of their wearable device in case it is misplaced or lost. Users can also wipe off all the data for security reasons.
