New details about the "Transformers 5" movie have been released. According to reports, Paramount already confirmed the complete list of writers who will be tasked to write the script for the upcoming installment. This would include Robert Kirkman, Zak Penn and more.
According to Deadline, "Transformers 5" will have five new writers, namely, "The Walking Dead" and "Fear the Walking Dead" writer Kirkman, "Pacific Rim 2" writer Penn, "Iron Man" writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" writer Jeff Pinkner.
All five writers will be working closely with Akiva Goldsman, who was handpicked by Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg and Lorenzo di Bonaventura two months after "Transformers 5" was confirmed.
As of late, not much detail has been disclosed yet about the upcoming "Transformers 5" movie but what is known for sure is the fact that Mark Wahlberg will return to reprise his role.
In a recent interview with MTV News, Wahlberg said that not only will he join "Transformers 5," he will also work on a couple more sequels after that because he is bound by contract. However, at that time, he said he was not sure whether or not Bay will return to helm the movie.
"Yeah, I committed to doing a couple more. I cannot speak for Mr. Bay, but something tells me we will be on set soon," he said at that time.
Additionally, there have also been some reports that Wahlberg will take on a lead role alongside Shia LaBeouf in the upcoming sequel.
"Transformers 5" is slated for release some time in 2017. Originally, the film was scheduled for release next year.
