"Avengers: Age of Ultron" may have teased fans with an alternate ending but this does not mean Quicksilver lived. In fact, the character's death remained undone and now, fans are speculating that Marvel and director Joss Whedon may have clashed over the film's final cut.

In a recent interview, Whedon revealed that he created an alternate ending where Quicksilver lived because he was uncertain whether or not Marvel will agree to kill off the character.

The director added that Marvel could create upcoming movies that will star Quicksilver so killing the character may not be a good idea.

Meanwhile, although Marvel ultimately agreed to kill off the character, this does not mean that Whedon did not have any difficulties talking to the production company.

According to Venture Capital Post, Whedon and Marvel clashed especially after the former experienced tons of difficulties while shooting "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Other than this, Whedon and Marvel also clashed over the number of deleted scenes the production company wanted to remove ahead of the film's release.

At one point, Whedon and Marvel didn't also agree on Thor's trip to the cave and Hawkeye's family living on the farm, but both were featured in the final version of the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" that was released in theaters last month.

According to Complex, the alternate ending for the film where Quicksilver will survive and reunite with the rest of the cast members will be available on the film's upcoming Blu-Ray release.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" successfully topped the box office charts following its release last month.
