It is reported that the creators of "Steam," Valve Corporation, will show off  "Half-Life 3" at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015.

Game creator Gabe Newell said that, "The only reason we'd go back and do like a super classic kind of product is if a whole bunch of people just internally at Valve said they wanted to do it and had a reasonable explanation for why [they did]." Newell said, "But you know if you want to do another Half-Life game and you want to ignore everything we've learned in shipping Portal 2 and in shipping all the updates on the multiplayer side that seems like a bad choice."

After Turtle Neck Studios decided to go solo, Valve decided to use a Source 2 engine for "Half Life 3." Valve is working on Source 2 (Vulcan graphics AP) engine since 2012 in order to replace the outdated content which is used to authorize the tools for Source, according to The Game Spot.

Aside from "Half Life 3," Valve is also reportedly working on third installment of first person shooter game "Left 4 Dead". Both games will make use of Source 2 engines.

The company also announced the release of alpha "Dota 2" workshop tools in August last year. The UGC tools in a Dota 2 update will be used in "Half Life 3." The update also includes the physics test bed program which is also implemented under Valve.

The two new game titles are expected to be faster and with more detailed graphics due to the presence of Vulcan graphics AP in Source 2 engine.

Turtle Rock Studios had launched the "Left 4 Dead" game series for PC and Xbox in 2008. Valve Corporation bought it from the Turtle Rock Studios in 2009.
