Apple is bound to announce the latest iteration of its iOS operating system, iOS 9, in the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) which will open on June 8.

Despite many interesting features expected to be included on iOS 9, many tech experts are focusing on how Apple will fix recurring bugs and problems that has plagued operating system's previous versions.

The most talked about iOS 9 feature is its backwards compatibility and support for older iPhone and iPad devices. The iOS 8 update was not released for the iPhone 4 and iOS 7 did not support iPhone 3G's and older devices. According to Tech Radar, Apple is working on a core version of the upcoming iOS 8 in order to support these legacy devices.

Although Force Touch technology is already present in the recently released Apple Watch and MacBook, iPhone devices still does not support this feature. Force Touch is a pressure sensitive technology that can differentiate soft and hard touch pressures. Many tech analysts speculate that the technology be included in the iOS 9 update.

Apple is also rumored to debut its new music app with the iOS 9 release. Apple's $3 billion deal with Beats Music is testament to these rumor. The release of the new Apple Music app will surely lure iOS users away from free music streaming service Google Play Music All Access and Spotify.

Perhaps the most critical aspect of the iOS 9 update is its download size. Previous versions of the iOS were criticized due to it eating up a lot of storage, iOS 8 update needs 5 gigabyte of free storage space. This extremely high demand of storage space is one of the main reasons many iOS users opted not to upgrade to iOS 8, especially those users who own 16 gigabyte variant of iOS devices.

According to GottaBeMobile, iOS 9 is expected to be released in September and Apple is expected to have a keynote announcement about the operating system's status in the upcoming WWDC conference.
